How to read your result
A worked example
For €1,000 at 5% compounded annually, with no deposits, year one ends at €1,050 and year two at €1,102.50.
How it is calculated
The model applies interest each month and adds deposits at the end of the chosen period. Annual compounding uses the equivalent monthly rate. Inflation converts the result to today’s purchasing power.
Common mistakes and limitations
A constant return is a scenario, not a forecast. Investment costs and taxes are excluded. Growth relative to total contributions is not an annualised return.
